Finswimming is one of the most exciting water sport ever. Finswimming is a sport belonging to the aquatic specialties which, using specific equipment (monofin, fins, snorkel or cylinders) allows the athlete to reach much higher speeds than swimming. There are indoor (swimming pools) and open water (sea, lake, rivers) championships.

To which federation belongs Finswimming?

The international federation to which fin swimming belongs is CMAS, the Confédération Mondial des Activités Subaquatiques, which is part of the ARISF, and is a discipline recognized by the IOC.

Is there an age limit to join Finswimming?

Finswimming is suitable for any age . In fact, there are competitions for very young people, for children and adults and for veterans, over 25 years old.

3Fins Cup - Finswimming event in Slovakia - Finswimmer Magazine

3Fins Cup is a unique competition in a world of finswimming, first time organized in 2019. 3 FINS stands for three different categories we are competing in. DISTANCE – 200SF, 400SF, 800SF, SPRINT – 50AP, 50SF, 100SF and BF – 50BF, 100BF, 200BF. Athlete can choose only one of these.

Furthermore, in our relays there are no 4 athletes as usual. Too boring for us! Relay consist of 3 atheletes. The first one swim 100SF, the second one swim 50AP and the last one 50BF. So let´s have fun!

The starting fee for a competitor is 25 €. This year we offer you a reduced starting fee of 20€ if you manage to register until the end of February. In order to get the discount, it is necessary to report the number of competitors and pay the starting fee by February 28th. Exact list of names and categories do not need to be reported in order to get the discount.

We also didn’t forget about the best ones and therefore increased the PRIZE MONEY up to 75€ and added a bonus of 50€ for the most valuable performance according to the CMAS table.
Furthermore, the bonus for breaking the european record is 750€ and for breaking the world record the bonus amount is up to 1000€!
