Final of the Polish Club Finswimming Cup 2024 in Chodzież
The 2024 Polish Club Finswimming Cup Final, under the patronage of Chodzież District Starost Adrian Urbański, will take place on November 23-24, 2024, at the “Delfin” swimming pool in Chodzież. Organized by Fundacja Delfinek Chodzież, Miejski Ośrodek Sportu i Rekreacji in Chodzież, and Polski Związek Płetwonurkowania, this event aims to identify the best finswimming clubs and individual competitors across all age categories in Poland, while also promoting the sport and the Chodzież region.
Event Objectives and Format
The competition will crown the best finswimming club and top athletes, with categories ranging from junior to senior. It also seeks to encourage physical activity among young participants and increase the visibility of finswimming in Poland. Events will unfold in two sessions over two days, featuring various distances and disciplines such as apnea (AP), surface finswimming (SF), and bi-fin (BF) races. Mixed relays for juniors and open categories will also be part of the program.
Facilities and Organization
The 25-meter-long “Delfin” pool meets professional standards, ensuring electronic and manual timing, lifeguard supervision, and a professional judging panel. The venue will maintain water temperatures between 26°C and 29°C to ensure optimal conditions.
The competition welcomes athletes with valid PZPn licenses and medical clearances. Participants are allowed to compete in up to four individual events and two relays, with specific limits per session.
Awards and Recognition
Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in individual events and relays across all categories. Clubs will compete for trophies, with rankings determined by their best relay performances. Special prizes for the best athletes in each category will be sponsored by Gmina Chodzież. All competitors will receive participation diplomas.
Registration and Fees
Clubs must submit registrations by November 18, 2024, with final corrections accepted until November 20, 2024. A start fee of 100 PLN per athlete is required, along with an additional club fee payable to the Polish Diving Federation.
