Finswimming is one of the most exciting water sport ever. Finswimming is a sport belonging to the aquatic specialties which, using specific equipment (monofin, fins, snorkel or cylinders) allows the athlete to reach much higher speeds than swimming. National Finswimming Italian Teams 2025: Qualification Standards - Finswimmer Magazine

Yesterday the Italian Finswimming Federation (FIPSAS) has released the qualification times for the National Finswimming Teams, included in the Finswimming Rules at the pages 28-29, categorizing athletes into Senior and Junior squads for the 2025 season. These benchmarks are crucial for athletes aiming to represent Italy in domestic and international competitions.

For the direct call to the National Absolute Teams, the performances obtained during the
following events will be taken into consideration:

Christmas Cup;
Italian Spring and Summer Absolute Championships;
World Cup Trials;
National Criterium.

Last useful date for obtaining the performances: May 30 / June 1, 2025 (Italian Summer Absolute Championships).
The performances obtained by the athletes in the 1st fraction of the relays are also valid. The time trials will not be considered valid for the purposes of achieving the times required to obtain the direct call to the National Absolute Teams.
In order to be able to obtain the call during the 2024/2025 competitive season, it is mandatory to have
participated in at least two of the qualification trials mentioned above.

For the direct call to the National Junior Teams, the performances obtained during the following events will be taken into consideration:

Christmas Cup;
Italian Spring Absolute Championships;
World Cup Trials;
National Criterium.

Last useful date for obtaining the performances: 10/11 May 2025 (National Criterium).
The performances obtained by the athletes in the 1st fraction of the relays are also valid. The time trials will not be considered valid for the purposes of achieving the times required to obtain direct call-up to the Junior Nationals.
In order to be able to obtain the call-up during the 2024/2025 competitive season, it is mandatory to have participated in at least two of the qualification trials mentioned above.
