With great performances and two national records, the Finwimming competition program for the new season officially began, specifically with the holding of the Limit Days in Attica, Thessaloniki, Chania, Chios and Kefalonia.
Alexandros Pittis of Glafkos Peristeri, at the Attica Conference, at the Piraeus National Swimming Pool “P. Kapageroff”, with a performance of 1:20.34 in the 200m immersion, set a new Panhellenic record in the Youth category.
PAOK’s Kalliroi Siassiou, moreover, at the Northern Greece meeting in Thessaloniki, with 22.98 in the 50m bifins, set a Panhellenic Girls’ record.
The federal coach, Giannis Kalaitzoglidis, stated in this regard: “Although we are in the initial stages of preparation, the athletes who will star this year have shown very satisfactory signs of performance. Our competition schedule for this year is full of invitations, with the highlight being the World Youth Championship, which will be held in Chios in June 2025. I am very optimistic about the excellent results, both in the competition sector and for the organizational course for the World Championship, but also in view of our remaining international obligations.”
