Biysk (Russia) | April 7–9, 2025
From April 7 to 9, 2025, the city of Biysk in the Altai region hosted the Championship and Junior Championship of the Underwater Sports Federation of Altai Krai. The event took place at the 50-meter indoor pool Zarya, gathering young finswimmers from cities including Biysk, Novosibirsk, Kiselëvsk, and Gorno-Altaysk.
Despite the absence of electronic timing systems, the competition offered a great opportunity for emerging talents to showcase their skills in various age categories and finswimming disciplines, such as surface finswimming and classic fins.

The competition featured swimmers born between 2008 and 2017, with standout performances including:

Artur Belyanov (2013) from Kiselëvsk clocked 00:42.20 in the 100m finswimming, achieving a strong II sport category standard.

Alisa Vikulina (2013) from the same club swam the 100m in 00:46.44, placing first in her category.

Aleksei Cheberdak (2007) from Biysk showed elite form with a time of 00:37.63, confirming his Master of Sport (МС) level.

Among the youngest participants, Nina Chuy (2016) from Biysk won her event with a time of 01:00.53 in the 100m finswimming for girls born in 2016–2017.
Developing the Future of Finswimming
This event plays an important role in the development of young athletes in the Altai region. With categories tailored to young finswimmers, it serves not only as a competition but also as a celebration of grassroots aquatic sports.
The organizational team, led by chief judge O.V. Gudz and chief secretary O.V. Cherepanova, ensured a smooth and fair competition across all events.
