From October 17 to 18, 2024, the city of Kemerovo, in the Kemerovo region, hosted a major event in underwater sports: the Championship of Kuzbass in Finswimming, held at the MSC “Kuzbass Arena” (50m pool). This two-day competition included several divisions, catering to athletes of all ages. Competitors included men and women born in 2006 or earlier, as well as younger categories for boys and girls born between 2007 and 2012, and even the youngest group for athletes born in 2013 and later.

- Men and Women (2006 and older): Participants competed in various distances, showcasing their skills in classic finswimming and immersion disciplines.
- Junior Athletes (2007-2012): Boys and girls competed in respective categories, with standout performances in the 50m, 100m, and 200m finswimming events.

Results Highlights
In the women’s events, standout performances were seen in the 50m immersion, where Darya Tyunina from Kemerovo won the 14-17-year-old category with a time of 17.36 seconds. On the men’s side, Ivan Glazunov from Kemerovo took first place in the 50m immersion for 18 and older, clocking an impressive 15.15 seconds
In the junior divisions, Kristina Valetskaya, born in 2011, from Kemerovo, excelled in the 50m classic fins event, finishing with a time of 23.15 seconds, securing first place in her age category. Similarly, in the boys’ category, Sergey Kukshenev from Kemerovo dominated the 12-13 age group, completing the 200m classic fins race in 1:57.16.
