The Mexican Federation of Underwater Activities (FMAS) has officially launched the call for the BUAP 2025 National Finswimming and Freediving Championship in the Pool, which will bring together the best athletes in the country in a high-level competition.
The event, which will take place at the Olympic Pool of the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP), aims to promote the development of underwater disciplines and discover new national talents. The competition will be divided into categories according to the current international regulations. The tests will include the specialties of finswimming and static apnea, disciplines that require concentration and endurance.
The sporting event will be held on February 27 and 28, as well as March 1 and 2, 2025, at the Olympic Pool facilities of the Benemérita Universidad de Puebla. Those interested can already register, since the call is open until the closing of registrations, on February 7, 2025.
The National Finswimming and Apnea Championship is one of the most important events in the underwater sports calendar. In its 2025 edition, the participation of outstanding athletes from various states is expected, who will compete for the highest honors in their respective categories.
