The Moscow Cup Finswimming competition took place on October 6, 2024, in a 50-meter pool at the CS North Center, Moscow. This event brought together a wide range of participants from various age categories, showcasing exceptional performances in both monofin and classic fins disciplines. The event was managed with the SEIKO electronic time registration system, ensuring precise results across all races.
Women’s Classic Fins – 50m
The event began with the 50m classic fins race for different age categories. In the girls’ 9-11 age group, Sofya Golovan from Team Deryabina took the gold with an impressive time of 25.49 seconds, followed by Kristina Safronova and Sofya Skryabina, both from MksShor Vostok, securing second and third with times of 28.55 and 29.51 seconds, respectively.
In the 12-13 age category, Polina Patapova from MksShor Vostok won the race with a time of 26.49 seconds. Alexandra Senichkina from Monofin trailed closely at 26.63 seconds, while Arina Danilina, also from MksShor Vostok, secured third place with 27.22 seconds.
The junior (14-17 years) race was dominated by Alexandra Golovkina from Monofin, finishing in 23.76 seconds. Olga Logvinova and Anna Kondrashkina, both from MksShor Vostok, completed the podium with times of 24.46 and 24.72 seconds.
Men’s Classic Fins – 50m
In the boys’ 9-11 age group, Alexey Peskov from Kosatka claimed first place with a time of 30.38 seconds. Dmitry Kovalychuk from MksShor Vostok finished second in 30.73 seconds, and Andrey Lebedev, also from Kosatka, secured third place with a time of 32.53 seconds.
In the 12-13 age group, Svyatoslav Akbirov from MksShor Vostok was the fastest, finishing the race in 26.26 seconds. Alexander Berger followed in 27.22 seconds, while Pavel Yakovlev from Monofin completed the top three with 27.82 seconds.
Among the juniors (14-17 years), Ramil Dedov from MksShor Vostok took the gold with a time of 21.35 seconds, narrowly beating Sergey Arkhipov from Shvvs, who finished at 21.37 seconds. Maxim Adamovsky, also from MksShor Vostok, secured third place with a time of 22.09 seconds.
Women’s Classic Fins – 100m
In the 9-11 age category, Sofya Golovan from Team Deryabina again proved her dominance by finishing first in the 100m race with a time of 59.31 seconds. Kristina Safronova and Sofya Sergeyeva followed with times of 1:02.65 and 1:06.89, respectively.
The 12-13 category saw Polina Patapova from MksShor Vostok finish first in 57.12 seconds. Arina Danilina and Victoria Zvontsova rounded out the top three with times of 58.93 and 1:00.37, respectively.
Among the juniors, Olga Logvinova from MksShor Vostok took the gold with a time of 54.18 seconds, just ahead of Varvara Nosova from Team Deryabina, who finished in 54.25 seconds.
Men’s Classic Fins – 100m
In the boys’ 9-11 category, Dmitry Kovalychuk from MksShor Vostok won with a time of 1:08.81, followed closely by Alexey Peskov from Kosatka, who finished in 1:09.82.
In the 12-13 group, Svyatoslav Akbirov from MksShor Vostok once again dominated with a time of 56.59 seconds, while Alexander Berger from MksShor Vostok and Mark Rodin from Monofin followed with times of 59.76 and 1:04.63, respectively.
In the junior category, Ramil Dedov from MksShor Vostok finished first with an impressive 47.13 seconds, followed by Sergey Arkhipov and Daniil Anikin, both from MksShor Vostok, with times of 47.33 and 48.95 seconds.
