Now it’s official. Today April 2nd 2020, the IWGA (International World Games Association) met the BOC (Birmingham Organising Committee ) in Losanna (Switzerland) and took the decision about the World Games event, originally scheduled from 15 to 25 July 2021, to be rescheduled one year after, exactly from 7 to 17 July 2022. This decision came after the postponing of the Olympic Games in 2021. A lot of sportsmen participating in Tokio would be excluded from Birmingham, and of course MEdia would have been less interested in this “minor” event against Olympics. To avoid this annoying situation they decided to move the World Games in Alabama in 2022. Well done!

Now, finswimmers will have to swim one year more!
